Sometimes people will say they want a new game within a series but then also say they didn’t like any of the new changes/additions in the existing continuations. U want a remake, not a new game

#this is in reference to dmc #I sometimes see someone say they didn’t like dmc5 cuz it didn’t keep much of the old aesthetics #yeah the team behind the game has shifted #people’s interests and tastes have changed #the series has existed for a while #ofc they’ll experiment with the art direction and aesthetics #there’s a difference between everything got scraped with no respect for the og games #and we’re testing new grounds but we still love the old instalments #a good example of a bad new game within a series is the shitass DmC reboot
